Croatia Cruise | Dubrovnik to Split in 9 days

After arriving at Dubrovnik Airport and transferring to the hotel, the rest of the day will be for you to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace.

Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," is one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean and has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. Dubrovnik means "oak forest" due to the abundance of oak trees in the area.

The city has been dominated by Byzantines, Venetians, Hungarians, Turks, and Austrians throughout its history. Dubrovnik also endured significant damage during the war with Serbia, and on December 6, 1991, it was hit by over 2000 bombs, resulting in the reconstruction of many of its buildings.

The old town is surrounded by a grand medieval wall with 16 towers, making it one of the city's major attractions.

After being transferred from your hotel in Dubrovnik to the port, we will begin our Croatian coast cruise experience. Embarkation will start from 2:00 PM, allowing time to settle comfortably into your cabin and enjoy the ship's facilities.

In the afternoon, around 5:00 PM, we will meet our guide for a walking tour of the magnificent city of Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic" and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will stroll along the famous Stradun, the city's most iconic street and square within the ancient walls, while discovering Dubrovnik's most important landmarks and historic corners.

After the tour, we will return to the ship to enjoy a welcome reception, followed by a welcome dinner on board. Overnight on board.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will begin sailing around the impressive Dubrovnik city walls, enjoying a unique perspective of this historic city from the Adriatic Sea.

We will continue our journey toward one of the Elaphiti Islands, where we will make a stop for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters, weather permitting. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch on board while cruising along the stunning Croatian coastline.

In the afternoon, we will arrive in Slano, a peaceful fishing village surrounded by natural beauty and local traditions. From here, we will travel to Ston, a small fortified village located on the Pelješac Peninsula, famous for its historic walls and delicious oysters, which we will have the opportunity to taste in a nearby village.

The Pelješac Peninsula is also known as one of Croatia’s finest wine-producing regions. After the visit, we will return to Slano to enjoy the Captain’s Dinner on board and spend the night in this charming coastal village.

Greca Tip: Pelješac is one of Croatia’s most authentic regions. Discover its famous oysters, taste local wines, and admire the beautiful landscapes covered with vineyards.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will sail north toward the spectacular Island of Mljet, one of Croatia’s most remarkable natural treasures.

Upon arrival, we will join the Cruise Manager for a pleasant walk through Mljet National Park, discovering its famous saltwater lakes, Veliko Jezero (Big Lake) and Malo Jezero (Small Lake), surrounded by lush forests and breathtaking landscapes.

Afterwards, we will continue sailing toward the charming Island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Korčula and enjoy a guided walking tour through this enchanting medieval town, surrounded by ancient walls and considered one of the best-preserved historic cities in the Mediterranean.

After the tour, you will have free time to explore Korčula at your own pace. In the evening, you can enjoy a gourmet experience at one of the town’s many restaurants and bars before returning to the ship for the night.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will set sail toward the fascinating Island of Vis, a unique destination that remained isolated from the outside world for decades as a strategic naval base of former Yugoslavia, with restricted access to the public.

Due to this long period of isolation, Vis has preserved a special charm and authentic atmosphere, often described as “the Mediterranean as it once was”, with untouched landscapes, traditional villages, and a peaceful character unlike any other Croatian island.

Since Croatia’s independence, the island has slowly opened to visitors, allowing travelers to discover its rich history and hidden secrets. Some of Europe’s largest naval battles took place in the waters surrounding Vis, leaving behind a fascinating historical legacy.

During our stay, you will have free time to explore the island at your own pace. An optional experience is discovering Vis’ military heritage by exploring the island in Land Rover Defender vehicles, visiting historical sites and remnants of its naval past.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will sail early to the small island of Biševo, where we will have the opportunity to visit the spectacular Blue Cave, a unique natural phenomenon famous for its mesmerizing blue waters. The visit will depend on weather conditions; you will be informed in advance in case of any changes.

Afterwards, we will continue sailing toward Hvar Island, the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic. During the journey, we will make a stop for a refreshing swim and enjoy lunch on board.

Upon arrival in the early afternoon, we will disembark and begin a unique island experience by Land Rover Defender. We will drive through picturesque villages, visit a lavender farm, enjoy a local wine tasting, and finish the excursion at a donkey farm, where we will share a fun and memorable moment.

After the experience, we will return to the port and spend the night in one of the harbors on Hvar Island.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will sail toward Milna on Brač Island, with a swim stop in one of the island’s pristine bays, weather permitting. We will have time to relax and enjoy lunch on board while cruising through the beautiful Adriatic waters.

After lunch, we will arrive in Milna, still considered one of the most beautiful and best-protected harbors on Brač Island. You will have time to explore this charming Dalmatian town, dominated by a beautiful Baroque church featuring a typical Dalmatian bell tower.

Inside the church, you can admire valuable paintings by Venetian artists, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and historical influences of the region.

After exploring Milna, we will return to the ship and spend the night in one of the harbors on Brač Island.

Greca Tip: Milna is a hidden gem of the Dalmatian coast. Its peaceful harbor, stone houses, and authentic atmosphere make it the perfect place to experience traditional Croatian charm.

In the morning, over breakfast, you will head to the last port, Split, with a stop on the way to swim, freshen up and relax, weather permitting. You will enjoy lunch on board.

In the afternoon, arrival in Split for a walking tour of the historic city center to see the Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will see the remains of Split's Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, the Temple of Jupiter, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. The night is free to enjoy Split.

Greca Tip: The Riva is Split's waterfront, a lively place where locals and tourists gather to stroll, enjoy the cafes and restaurants, and admire the sea views.

After enjoying breakfast on board, we will sail toward Trogir, with a stop along the way for a refreshing swim and time to relax in one of the Adriatic’s beautiful bays, weather permitting. During the journey, we will enjoy lunch on board.

Upon docking, we will join a short orientation tour through Trogir, a charming medieval city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often referred to as “Little Venice” or “Mini Dubrovnik”, Trogir is famous for its ancient walls, stone streets, and remarkable architecture, including stunning Venetian palaces that make it feel like a true floating museum.

In the late afternoon, we will transfer to Split, where we will enjoy a guided tour of the historic Old Town. We will visit the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and discover the remains of Split’s Roman heritage, Renaissance and Gothic structures, the Temple of Jupiter, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral.

After the tour, you will have free time to explore Split at your own pace, stroll through its charming streets, or enjoy the city’s lively atmosphere. After this exciting evening, we will return to the ship by transfer and spend the night in Trogir.

Note: Due to the limited capacity of Split Harbour during reconstruction works, some departures may sail directly to Trogir Port. In this case, bus transfers to and from Split will be arranged for the sightseeing tour.
