Our Terms & Conditions
In this page, you will find all our mumbo jumbo terms and conditions related to the services we offer here at Greca Travel. We mean no "small print" and it is reachable at all times. In case of doubt, please do contact us. Our "24-hour response commitment " also applies to this section.
Our packages do not include airline tickets, unless explicitly stated under "Included in this tour."
Greca offers different types of travel packages, and the way accommodations are handled depends on the structure of each package. You will always be informed about the included lodging during the booking process, either through pre-assigned options or customizable selections. In packages where the hotel is customizable, this will be indicated in the destination with the label “Choose your own hotel.”
a. Fixed packages (Group services with fixed departures)
In these packages, accommodations are pre-assigned to ensure the smooth execution of the itinerary. They usually include destinations like Olympia, Delphi, or Meteora, where group tours follow strict schedules. Hotels included can be reviewed in the “Accommodation” section during booking. The default option shown is the lowest available category, but you may upgrade to a higher one before confirming your reservation.
b. Semi-customizable packages
Some packages allow hotel selection in certain destinations, while others (usually with group services) include pre-assigned hotels. In customizable segments, you can choose the property that best fits your preferences. In non-customizable segments, you may still upgrade the hotel category.
c. Fully customizable packages
In these flexible itineraries, you may choose your hotel in each destination from a curated selection or let Greca pick for you. Each option includes detailed information on services, location, and cancellation policy to help you make an informed decision. Prices shown include all applicable taxes and fees. In rare cases, hotels located outside standard transfer zones may incur additional charges, which will be clearly indicated before confirming your reservation.
Hotel location and transfer conditions
When choosing hotels through Greca’s customizable packages, you may select properties outside the city center. Keep in mind that lodging in hotels beyond standard transfer areas may involve additional costs for transfers to/from airports or train stations, as well as for pickup/drop-off services associated with excursions or guided visits. These charges reflect the extended distances and logistical complexity. Each destination may define “city center” differently. Specific notes on the hotel selection page will indicate distance limits (e.g., “hotels located more than 5 km from Athens city center”). If your hotel lies outside the standard pickup area for a scheduled tour, you may be required to reach a designated central meeting point on your own.
Hotel standards
All accommodations meet the official classifications of their respective countries. Greca selects properties based on a combination of quality, service, location, and value. Our team regularly inspects associated hotels to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction. All accommodations meet the official classifications of their respective countries. Greca selects properties based on a combination of quality, service, location, and value. Our team regularly inspects associated hotels to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
The hotel ratings displayed on our website are provided directly by each property. Greca Travel is not liable for any discrepancies between the published rating and the actual standards encountered during the stay.
Room types and meals
Unless stated otherwise, reservations include standard rooms with private bathrooms. You may request upgrades or special room types during the booking process. Packages that include accommodation generally also include breakfast unless explicitly excluded.
Seasonal Availability and Alternative Accommodations
In certain destinations, particularly islands, remote areas, or highly seasonal destinations, hotel availability may be limited during specific periods of the year. While Greca will always make every effort to confirm the accommodation category selected by the traveler, availability constraints may occasionally require alternative arrangements.
In such cases, Greca reserves the right to substitute the originally selected accommodation with another property that offers a comparable level of comfort, service, location, and overall travel experience. Due to differences in local hotel classification systems and destination-specific standards, the replacement property may not always carry the same official star rating or category as the accommodation originally selected.
Substitutions and force majeure
Greca reserves the right to substitute any hotel with another of equal or superior category if required by operational needs. If local tax regulations or conditions change, Greca allows a grace period of up to 90 days before updating published prices.
Any substitution will be made in good faith and with the objective of maintaining the quality and value of the travel experience. Whenever possible, travelers will be informed in advance of any significant changes.
As specified in the itineraries, these include assistance and/or transportation.
The maximum waiting time at airports is 90 minutes from the flight’s arrival time, and 45 minutes at ports and train stations. At hotels, the waiting time is a maximum of 10 minutes.
The transfers included in each booking are shared, without exception, among the travelers listed under the same booking code or reference number.
In order to reduce CO₂ emissions and the environmental impact generated by tourism, Greca Travel may use the same vehicle for other travelers following the same route, even if they are booked under a different reservation code.
In case of flight cancellations, transfers can be rescheduled at no cost if notification is received at least 6 hours prior to the scheduled arrival time. Otherwise, the service will be considered non-refundable.
Meals are included only when explicitly stated under the "Included" section of each tour, or if you choose a hotel option that includes them.
Tours are operated in air-conditioned vehicles with professional drivers and local or licensed guides, depending on the tour and destination.
The order of visits and activities during the itineraries may vary depending on the tour start date. In all cases, the services and visits indicated as included in each booking will be guaranteed.

The traveler accepts that he has complied with mandatory and truthful reporting of the dates of birth or, alternatively, the age of the children at the time of travel.

In all cases, if the deposit is not received as requested, the booking will be canceled automatically. The remaining balance must be paid 45 days prior to your arrival. Any booking made less than 45 days before the start of your travel must be paid in full and is not covered under our “Lowest Price Guarantee.”

The credit cardholder understands and accepts that, when paying for their own services or on behalf of another traveler, all transactions are carried out remotely without the physical presence of the credit card in our offices. These remote charges may be performed online, in writing, or by telephone by the client or cardholder. A grace period is granted to the cardholder to notify us in writing of any non-acceptance of the charges and to request reimbursement of the amount.

If the newly requested services or dates are of higher value, the traveler shall be charged the price difference. If they are of lower value, Greca Travel will refund the difference, excluding any non-refundable components.
Where airline or train tickets are included, the traveler is solely responsible for any charges imposed by the carrier for changes, including but not limited to rescheduling, rerouting, or name corrections.
The following handling fees apply per segment and per person for accepted modifications:
- Intercontinental flights: €20
- All other flights: €10

Updated travel vouchers (for modifications) or refund documents (for cancellations) are issued once per week, on Wednesdays.
2. CANCELLATIONS – GENERAL CONDITIONS
All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email.
A cancellation shall be deemed effective on the date it is received by Greca Travel during normal business hours. Requests received outside business hours shall be considered received on the following business day.
All packages and cruises are subject to a non-refundable handling fee of €49 per person, applicable regardless of the cancellation date.
Any applicable cancellation charges must be settled prior to the issuance of refund documentation.
Refunds, where applicable, are processed using the original payment method and issued once per week on Wednesdays, or the next business day if Greca Travel’s headquarters are closed.
3. STANDARD LAND-BASED PROGRAMS – CANCELLATION FEES
Cancellation charges are calculated as a percentage of the total program price, excluding non-refundable services:
- More than 60 days before arrival: No cancellation penalty (only the €49 handling fee applies)
- 59–46 days before arrival: 20% of total price + €49 handling fee
- 45–31 days before arrival: 35% of total price + €49 handling fee
- 30–16 days before arrival: 60% of total price + €49 handling fee
- 15 days or less before arrival or no-show: 100% of total price
4. PRODUCTS WITH SPECIFIC CANCELLATION TERMS
The cancellation policy outlined in this document constitutes the standard cancellation framework applicable to Greca Travel programs.
However, certain product categories may be subject to different cancellation conditions, which may include shorter free cancellation periods, stricter penalties, or fully non-refundable terms. Where a product is subject to specific cancellation terms, such conditions will be clearly indicated in the product description page.
In such cases, the specific cancellation conditions displayed for the individual product shall prevail over and replace the general cancellation policy stated herein.
Example: Free up to 48 hours before arrival. If you cancel less than 48 hours before, the product is non-refundable.
By proceeding with the booking of such products, the traveler and/or partner expressly acknowledge and accept the specific cancellation terms applicable to that service.
5. AIRLINE & TRAIN TICKETS – SPECIAL CONDITIONS
All airline and train tickets included in any Greca Travel program are non-refundable and subject to a 100% cancellation charge from the moment of issuance, unless otherwise expressly stated in the product description.
This condition applies regardless of the cancellation date of land-based services.
The following handling fees apply per segment and per person:
- Intercontinental flights: €20
- All other flights: €10
- Train tickets: €10
6. CRUISES
Unless otherwise specified by the cruise operator (whose terms shall prevail), the following cancellation fees apply:
- Up to 90 days before departure: No charge
- 89–60 days before departure: Loss of deposit (250€-500€ per cabin, according to cabin type and cruise duration)
- 59–30 days before departure: 50% of the cruise fare
- 29 days or less before departure or no-show days prior: 100% of the cruise fare
7. HOTEL-SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
Where travelers select accommodation from multiple hotel options, the cancellation conditions applicable to the chosen hotel will be clearly displayed during the booking process.
These hotel-specific conditions supersede the general package cancellation terms.
Travelers are strongly advised to review them carefully before completing their purchase.
8. INSURANCE & RISK COVERAGE
Greca Travel includes Health and Cancellation Insurance covering up to 100% of the trip price in cases of hospitalization, death of the policyholder or a direct relative, or other insured unforeseen events.
Optional enhanced insurance plans may be purchased during the booking process for broader coverage, subject to the insurer’s terms and conditions.
9. SPECIAL CAMPAIGNS – EXCEPTION TO STANDARD TERMS
For F.I.T. and B2B bookings confirmed as part of special campaigns, promotions, or negotiated offers (including but not limited to Black Friday or limited-time sales), the specific cancellation and refund terms agreed for each campaign shall apply. These campaign-specific conditions shall supersede and replace the general Cancellation & Modification Policy outlined above, regardless of the cancellation date or reason. By confirming a booking under a special campaign, the partner and traveler expressly acknowledge acceptance of the applicable campaign terms.
10. REFUND PROCESSING
Approved refunds will be issued using the same payment method originally used for the booking. If this is not possible (for example, if the payment method is no longer valid), an alternative solution will be arranged.
Refunds are processed once per week, every Wednesday, or on the next business day if our headquarters are closed.
Please note that the time required for the refunded amount to appear in the traveler’s account depends on the bank or payment provider and may vary accordingly.
The refunded amount will reflect any applicable cancellation fees, administrative charges, non-refundable services, or supplier-imposed penalties, in accordance with this policy or the specific product conditions.
Prices for single passengers reflect rooms and cabins in single occupancy. Greca Travel cannot arrange for shared accommodation in hotels during land tours. Shared accommodation on cruises is provided upon request. Triple rooms usually consist, for the third guest, of an extra bed, a sofa bed, or a similar option depending on the accommodation. On cruises, double and triple cabins typically include bunk beds. If passengers prefer a different configuration with standard individual beds (especially recommended for elderly travelers), they must contact us in advance to check availability and specific conditions or charges that may apply.
The discount granted to the third occupant is distributed among all participants, hence the lower price.
For further information, please refer to the section "This package includes" or the description of the "Itinerary", day by day, for the program to be acquired or compared. Alternatively, do not hesitate to contact a member of our Sales Team or send your doubts or questions through any contact form.
Travelers are responsible for verifying and complying with the visa, documentation and vaccination requirements applicable to their trip.
- Passport:
A valid passport is required for travel. Please ensure it is valid for at least six months beyond your travel date, as most countries enforce this requirement.
- Visas:
Visa regulations depend on both the country issuing the passport and the country or countries of destination, and may vary depending on the length and nature of stay.
Many destinations are visa-exempt for short stays (up to 90 days). However, it is the traveler’s responsibility to confirm the applicable requirements with the consulate or embassy of each destination country in their place of residence before departure. If your program includes a cruise or visits to multiple countries, please verify whether a Double-Entry or Multiple-Entry visa is required.
- Vaccinations:
Some destinations may require official vaccination certificates against specific diseases, while in others vaccinations are only recommended. Travelers must ensure they meet all applicable requirements prior to departure. We recommend consulting the health authorities of both the country of residence and of the destination, as well as international references such as the World Health Organization (WHO) or the CDC.
Greca Travel assumes no liability for denied boarding, entry refusal, fines, or any additional costs arising from the traveler’s failure to secure the necessary visas, vaccinations, or other mandatory travel documents.
Our physical offices are open Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:30 year-round (unless otherwise announced).
Our 24/7 phone line as well as our 24-hour emergency phone are always available to assist you before, during, or after your trip.

Accordingly, Greca accepts no liability for any errors, omissions, negligence, loss, damage, or delay caused by any supplier or third party.
Scope of Non-Liability
Greca shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, loss (including loss of enjoyment or loss of possessions), damage, expense, cost, or other claim of any kind that arises from:

Client Obligation to Notify
Clients must inform Greca without undue delay of any perceived failure in the performance of the agreed services. Failure to notify Greca at the time of occurrence may affect the ability to remedy the issue and may limit or exclude any potential compensation.
Alterations Due to Force Majeure
If, due to Force Majeure or circumstances beyond its control, Greca is compelled to significantly alter the main characteristics of the services forming part of the booking, Greca will notify the client(s) as soon as possible. Where time allows, the client(s) will be offered the choice of:
(i) accepting the proposed change;
(ii) accepting a suitable alternative of equal value at no extra cost, or of higher value with the price difference payable by the client; or
(iii) cancelling the booking and receiving a full refund of payments made.
Clients must respond within the timescale specified in the notice; otherwise, the booking may be cancelled without further liability to Greca.
Consequential Loss
Greca shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of anticipated savings, income, or enjoyment.
Any dispute that may arise shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Submitting a booking implies full acceptance of the Terms and Conditions outlined above.
If you have any problems related to the services purchased through Greca, you must contact us through our 24-hour emergency line to provide you with a quick solution.
