HAIFA & ACRE FOR CRUISERS

Early in the morning, the guide will meet you at the agreed point within the Port of Haifa, marking the start of your excursion to Haifa and Acre.

This private tour begins in Haifa with a visit to the spectacular Bahai Gardens. These 19 sculptured terraces descend a steep hill, where you can admire the array of flowers before visiting the famous Shrine at the base of the grounds.

Next, the journey continues to Rosh HaNikra, also known as "The Head of the Grottos" in Hebrew, the northernmost point in Israel’s Western Galilee and the only place where the sea meets white chalk cliffs.

Descending in a cable car, a short but very steep ride, you’ll reach an ancient limestone grotto that was inaccessible to the public for a long time. Here, the power of the sea is evident as waves crash around you, and you can enjoy the unique views as you walk through the tunnels.

Your private guide will then lead you to Acre, a beautifully preserved Crusader City, historically conquered by Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, and Turks, and now home to a mix of Jews, Christians, and Arabs. Walking through the narrow streets, you’ll pass by the Knights Halls and Turkish baths, stopping at the ancient walls and moat.

In the old Bazaar, you can wander around, drink strong black coffee, sample local sweets, and purchase souvenirs.

As you explore, you can enjoy the stone architecture, savor the ancient atmosphere, and visit the prison, last used in Ottoman times by the Turks, and the gallows used by the British 75 years ago.

You will also pass through the Templar's Tunnel, now fully excavated, walking along a wooden deck to emerge next to a turquoise blue sea with an invigorating breeze.

Finally, take a break at the small fountain next to the Templar's Hall, relaxing under the branches of the huge trees there.
