At the agreed time, we will meet our guide to discover one of the most famous and important places in the History of Art: the Uffizi Gallery. It is impossible to arrive in Florence and not dedicate at least one hour of time to visit one of the most beautiful art galleries in the world. This is a unique experience for those who want to experience the history and artistic past of Florence.
Crossing the enormous halls and glittering corridors, we will stop to admire classics such as Botticelli's Birth of Venus, Leonardo's Annunciation and Michelangelo's Tondo Doni.
Tip Greca: The construction of the Uffizi Palace was begun in 1560 by Giorgio Vasari on the orders of Cosimo I de' Medici. Its initial purpose was to house the offices of the Florentine magistracies, hence its name 'Gallery of Offices'. The work was completed in 1580 and for years parts of the palace were used to store pieces of art from the magnificent collection of the Medici family.
