Greca Tip: Find the best advice to make the most of your trip in the following article: Everything you need to know about Turkey.

Your experience begins in the heart of Istanbul, where our official guide welcomes you for a journey into the soul of the Old City. From the very first steps through Sultanahmet Square, the history of two great empires—Byzantine and Ottoman—unfolds around you.
You’ll explore the legendary Hagia Sophia, a masterpiece of the 6th century whose soaring dome has inspired architects for more than a millennium. Nearby, the Blue Mosque awaits with its elegant İznik tiles and six slender minarets that silhouette the sky. As you stroll through the ancient Hippodrome, your guide brings to life the chariot races, rival factions, and political intrigues that once animated this arena, still marked by the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpentine Column, and the German Fountain.
Your visit concludes inside the Grand Covered Bazaar, a labyrinth of nearly four thousand shops where colors, scents, and craftsmanship blend into one of the world’s most vibrant marketplaces. After the tour, you are free to continue exploring this historic bazaar at your own pace.
Greca Tip: If you enjoy craftsmanship, ask to see a demonstration of handmade Turkish carpets—each one tells a story woven by generations.

In the afternoon, at the indicated time, we will be picked up from our accommodation in Istanbul and transferred to the airport to begin our journey to the magical and surprising region of Cappadocia.
This is a historic region in central Anatolia, whose unique layers of volcanic lava have shaped an incredible and one-of-a-kind landscape and history. In 1985, it became part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Upon our arrival at Kayseri Airport, we will be transferred to our hotel to check in and prepare for the following day.
Greca Tip: Ask your accompanying guide about the possibility of taking the famous hot-air balloon ride during the next days in Cappadocia (subject to weather conditions).

On this day, you will focus on exploring the beautiful region of Cappadocia. After a satisfying breakfast, your first stop will be the Göreme Valley. Here, you can visit the open-air museum and witness the ancient villages where cave dwellers lived in prehistoric times. You will also have the opportunity to explore the underground cities.
The Göreme Valley holds historical significance as it is where St. Basil the Great and his Christian brothers brought together the ideas of Christianity. You can explore the various churches, chapels, and monasteries in the area, which feature ancient frescoes painted on their walls.
Next, you will head to the Troglodyte Village of Uçhisar and the Avcilar Valley, which offer breathtaking landscapes. The unique rock formations in these areas will leave you in awe.
Continuing your journey, you will pass through the Devrent Valley, also known as the Imaginary Valley. Here, you will encounter peculiar rock formations that resemble mushrooms and other animal shapes.
To complete your day, you will visit local artisan workshops, including carpet-making and jewelry shops that specialize in translucent onyx stones, which are highly sought after.
After a fulfilling day of exploration, you will return to your hotel, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night.
Greca Tip: While in Cappadocia, a hot-air balloon ride over the historic cave dwellings of Goreme Town is simply a must!
