We start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before heading out to explore the wonders of Athens.

On our panoramic tour, we will visit the Presidential Palace, the historic Panathenaic Stadium, which hosted the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, the majestic National Library, and the vibrant central squares. We will also pass through the modern neighborhoods that emerged with the 2004 Olympics.

Our tour will end at the Acropolis site (entrance not included), where you can admire one of the most iconic wonders of Greek civilization.

In the evening, we will take you to the charming Plaka district, a lively area with cobblestone streets and traditional taverns where you can enjoy authentic Greek cuisine and local folklore.

We start the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting off on our journey to northern Greece. Our first stop will be in Kamena Vourla, a charming seaside destination surrounded by spectacular landscapes.

We then continue our journey with a brief stop at the gorge where the legendary Battle of Thermopylae took place, a key moment in Greek history. Next, we head to Kastraki, a picturesque village with stunning views of the valley, where we will have time to enjoy lunch and relax.

In the afternoon, we will visit the majestic Meteora Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its towering rock formations and monasteries built atop the cliffs. We will explore the valley and visit one of its most iconic monasteries, with entrance included.

We will end the day in Kalambaka, where a delicious dinner awaits us to recharge our energy.

After enjoying our breakfast, we begin a scenic journey through northern Greece, crossing mountainous landscapes that gradually open toward the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, accompanying us on a route rich in history and cultural contrasts.

In the morning we arrive in Thessaloniki, the country’s second most important city, where you will have free time to stroll through its lively center, discover Roman and Byzantine remains, and enjoy lunch at your own pace by the sea.

In the afternoon we continue our journey toward Bulgaria, crossing the border into the Bulgarian region of Macedonia. Along the way, we stop in Melnik, a picturesque open-air museum town surrounded by rocky formations and vineyards, renowned for its winemaking tradition and timeless atmosphere.

Upon arrival in Sandanski, a renowned spa town and the birthplace of Spartacus, we experience the peaceful charm of this destination, famous for its healing waters. At the end of the day, we return to the hotel to rest, where we enjoy the included dinner and accommodation.

During our tour, we will visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (admission included), the Russian Church, the Banya Bashi Mosque, as well as Sofia’s impressive squares and wide avenues showcasing Stalinist architecture.

After the tour, you will have free time to continue exploring the city at your own pace.

After a delightful breakfast, embark on a captivating journey to the Bachkovo Monastery, Bulgaria’s second most important monastic complex, founded in the 11th century. Nestled in serene surroundings, this sacred site, featuring three historic churches, is a peaceful retreat where centuries-old spiritual traditions continue to thrive. The tranquil atmosphere invites quiet reflection as you explore the monastery’s rich heritage.

Our adventure continues to Plovdiv, one of Europe’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Following a delicious included lunch, we’ll enjoy a guided tour through this enchanting destination. Highlights include the Roman Amphitheatre, an iconic relic of the ancient world, standing majestically in the city center.

We’ll also explore the Old Pharmacy, where age-old remedies tell the story of early medicine, and visit the Armenian House, a cultural gem that reflects the deep-rooted traditions of Plovdiv’s Armenian community. Our first stop is in the Valley of the Roses, where we visit Kazanlak. Here, we include admission to the replica of the Thracian Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also learn about the production of rose-based products, a centuries-old tradition in the region.

We continue our journey with a short stop at the Russian Church of Shipka, a majestic Orthodox temple built to honor those who fell in the Russo-Turkish War.

Later, we arrive in Etara, a charming open-air ethnographic museum that transports us to 19th-century Bulgaria. We will enjoy an included lunch in this unique setting before continuing our journey.

In the afternoon, we visit Arbanassi, a former Bulgarian trading center known for its fortress-like houses. Here, we include entrance to the Church of the Nativity, famous for its impressive frescoes.

Our journey continues as we cross the majestic Danube River and enter Romanian territory. We expect to arrive in Bucharest around 1:00 PM, where we’ll enjoy a flavorful included lunch before beginning our panoramic tour of this vibrant capital.

In the afternoon, we’ll head to the majestic Hunedoara Castle, considered by many to be the most beautiful castle in Romania. Our day concludes in Timișoara, a city known for its elegance and rich cultural heritage. Take time to relax with a walk through its refined plazas, perfect for unwinding and soaking in the ambiance.

After a delicious breakfast, we set off on a new day of discovery as we journey toward Serbia.

Following a border crossing and a drive of just under three hours, we arrive in Belgrade, a vibrant and historically rich city nestled at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers.

We’ll begin with a panoramic tour of the Serbian capital, where you’ll admire its lively city center, the impressive Parliament building, and other iconic landmarks.

Our tour continues to the historic Kalemegdan Fortress, surrounded by beautiful gardens and offering spectacular views of the rivers and the city skyline. This site is steeped in history and serves as one of Belgrade’s most treasured cultural spots.

We will also visit the Museum of Yugoslavia, which preserves key elements of the country’s recent history, including the Mausoleum of Tito, the historic leader of former Yugoslavia. After this enriching experience, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore Belgrade at your own pace.

After a delicious breakfast, we begin a new stage of our journey, exploring the fascinating region of Vojvodina.

Our first stop is Sremska Mitrovica, a historic city nestled along the banks of the Sava River. Once one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire, it served as the capital of the province of Pannonia. Here, we’ll visit the Imperial Palace of Sirmium, where we’ll delve into this crucial chapter of ancient history.

We continue our journey into Bosnia, with a stop in the ancient town of Zvornik, one of the oldest in the region. Located on the river that marks the border between Bosnia and Serbia, Zvornik has borne witness to centuries of history, including the tragic events of the Bosnian War. Once a predominantly Muslim town, its demographics were dramatically altered during the conflict. We will also be near Srebrenica, a name forever linked to the sorrowful massacre that occurred there.

You'll have time to enjoy lunch and quietly reflect on the region's past as you explore this peaceful and contemplative place.

Our scenic route then takes us through stunning landscapes before arriving in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by late afternoon. In the city’s historic center, lose yourself in the enchanting Baščaršija bazaar, a bustling Ottoman-era market known for its eastern-style architecture, lively atmosphere, and traditional shops.

Tonight, we’ll enjoy a typical Bosnian dinner, ending the day full of contrasts, emotions, and beauty.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we begin our day exploring Sarajevo, the captivating capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, often called the “Jerusalem of Europe” for its long-standing harmony among different religions.

During our guided tour, you'll witness the city's remarkable religious diversity, visible in its mosques, churches, and synagogues. We'll stroll through the Old Town, where Ottoman influence is especially prominent. Highlights include the majestic Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, with over 500 years of history, and the charming Sebilj Fountain in Baščaršija Square. Sarajevo’s rich multicultural heritage offers a unique and deeply enriching experience.

After the tour, we continue our journey to Mostar, a city famed for its stunning old town and the iconic Mostar Bridge—a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture symbolizing unity between the Orthodox, Muslim, and Catholic communities.

Our first stop is the picturesque village of Ston, famous for its impressive defensive wall—one of the longest in the world—winding across the hills and offering a unique glimpse into the region’s medieval past.

As we continue, we travel through breathtaking scenery, crossing the Pelješac Bridge, a modern engineering marvel that spans the sea and connects the peninsula with the mainland.

By midday, we arrive in Split, a vibrant city rich in cultural heritage. Here, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the iconic Diocletian’s Palace, one of the best-preserved Roman structures in the world. Within its vast complex, you’ll step back into the days of the Roman Empire, wandering through its maze-like alleyways—each echoing with stories—and taking in the beautiful sea views that surround the city.

After the tour, we return to our hotel where you’ll have time to unwind and enjoy an included dinner, the perfect way to end a day filled with discovery and wonder.

After a full breakfast, you will leave Split to travel towards the interior of Croatia.

You will cross beautiful hilly landscapes before reaching the Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can admire its lakes and waterfalls, walk along its trails, or take the boats that cross the waters of the lakes.

After enjoying the park you will have free time for lunch. At the end you will travel back to the coast, north of Croatia to reach Opatija.

Opatija is frequently also called the beauty of the Adriatic, Old Lady, or Queen of Tourism. In 1844 Hignio Scarpa, a patrician from Rijeka built the bay tree and oak forests of the villa Aangiolina (it was the beginning of tourism in Opatija).

Like nowhere else in Europe, laurels, chestnuts, and palm trees grow here, and kiwis, tangerines, and lemons grow in private gardens. Opatija's parks are the result of centuries of care and donations made by the sailors who came to its port.

Greca Tip: From the end of the century. In the 19th century, Opatija was the health and winter center par excellence of the Austro-Hungarian empire until World War I, and many luxurious old hotels still stand as a reminder of its past splendor. Great monarchs such as Francisco José I, the musician Gustav Mahler, Isadora Duncan, and Chekhov spent periods here.

After breakfast, you will continue on your way to Slovenia.

The first stop will be Postojna, one of the most important caves in the world, which you will partially visit on a little train.

After that, you will visit Bled, which is a beautiful postcard town next to a lake. Here you will take a boat trip on Lake Bled reaching its island, where the bell tower of the monastery stands out at the foot of the medieval castle.

Then you will continue to the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana. Once you arrive you will visit the city with a local guide from the small capital.

Known as the "New Prague", with which it bears a great resemblance, the Slovenian capital is also reminiscent of other large European cities.

Slovenia is a country of castles, and it can boast of having more than 1,000 throughout its territory. How could it be otherwise, Ljubljana is dominated by a beautiful medieval fortress that guards the city from the heights of a hill.

At the end of breakfast, you will continue the tour across Slovenia and arrive in Maribor, the second largest city in the country, behind the capital Ljubljana.

It is located in the northwest of Slovenia and is immersed between vineyards and green valleys that provide it with very beautiful landscapes. It is a city with a lot of history, culture, interesting heritage, and a lot of wine. In fact, it is famous for containing the oldest winery in the world.

After that, you will cross the border to reach the capital of Croatia. Once in Zagreb, we will have the rest of the day free.

You will have breakfast at the hotel, and then transfer to Zagreb airport.
