You will be picked up from your riad in Fez and drive to the "blue" city, Chefchaoun. The trip will take around 3 hours to the north of Morocco. Chefchaouen or Chauen is located in the middle of the Rif mountains, famous for its blue color in all the buildings and shops. It sits perfectly southwest of Ceuta, still Spanish, and southeast of Tangier, making it a hybrid of Arab-Spanish-Berber cultures in one place.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy exploring the white and blue walls of the Medina, as well as the Souk. The Medina offers splendid views thanks to its narrow and clean streets, in addition to the lining and stem shops displaying unique local handicrafts.
After having lunch in one of the local restaurants and having a tea or coffee enjoying the magic of the Blue city, we will return to Fez passing through the Rif mountains again.
You will arrive in Fez in the early hours of the night.
Greca Tip: If you want to buy a djellaba, Chefchaouen is a good place to buy the classic woolen one with a hood that the entire population wears in winter.
