As dawn breaks over Dubrovnik, you will feel that a day destined to remain in your memory is about to begin. After your transfer from the hotel, the road unfolds through the fertile Konavle Valley, where vineyards and small farming villages announce the nearness of another border and another story.
Crossing into Montenegro, the landscape transforms: majestic mountains rise above tranquil waters. In the Bay of Kotor, the southernmost fjord in Europe, nature and human heritage merge into a symphony of stone and sea. It is said that ancient sailors once charted their routes here, guided by the stars and the echo of bells still ringing over the Adriatic.
During the morning, the journey continues to Perast, a town seemingly suspended in time and proud of its sixteen baroque churches. You will have free time to enjoy lunch or take a boat ride to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks, a place born, legend has it, from the stones that fishermen cast into the sea after returning safely from each voyage.
In the afternoon, Kotor welcomes you with its centuries-old walls and the gentle hum of its medieval streets. During your guided visit, you will discover the Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Kampana Tower, and a mosaic of Roman, Venetian, and Austro-Hungarian influences that reveal centuries of living history.
As evening falls, the return to Dubrovnik offers one last chance to watch the golden reflections shimmer over the fjords.
Greca Tip: Bring your valid passport or ID card; Montenegro is not part of the European Union or the Schengen Area.
