      Excursion Itinerary: Jeep adventure in skiathos

      Discover the secrets of the Aegean paradise of Skiathos. An incredible 60 km route to explore the island and discover the hidden natural treasures that can only be encountered in the Sporades Islands. Driving through the countryside, you will not be disappointed even as the asphalt gives way to the country roads and vice versa.

      The pick-up will be early in the morning and, when all is ready, you will first stop at the Evangelistria Monastery, the birthplace of the Greek flag. In the recently renovated monastery, you will be able to see a working distillery that produces wine and "tsipouro" (in limited quantities) available nowhere else in the world. Here there is also a museum with several historical items relevant to the island's past and the Greek Revolution.

      Your second stop will be at the Kastro (Castle), the old town of Skiathos. There awaits you an impressive journey through time and a look at the lives of the locals during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. Difficult times for people who used to seek refuge and protection in the Kastro, when the city was repeatedly attacked by marauding pirates.

      On your way to the top, you will see many old and very picturesque churches. The beautiful scenery of unspoiled nature continues, as you drive through pine forests and on to the next stop, Kechria beach. There you will have the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear waters of one of the most famous beaches on the island as well as enjoy lunch in the local tavern. You will now change direction and drive from the northern part of the island to its western part. You will pass by the Kounistra Monastery to Elias Bay. At the western peak of the island, Koukounaries, you will pass by the beautiful Mandraki beach, famous for its shiny golden sand.

      Finally, you will visit the famous Mandraki forest, before returning to base at approximately 6:00 PM. After this fast-paced adventure on wheels, you can enjoy the exhilarating sea activities and Skiathos' frenetic nightlife.
